The Super Weirdos is a hilarious series designed to engage and inspire kids to be confident in themselves.

If you are looking for ways to support your child in growing confidence in themselves, enjoy their reading, or laugh out loud at the ridiculous world of The Super Weirdos, then this series is for you.

Often when kids are in social situations, they are unsure of what to do. Through reading this series, along with Norm and Ruby (the 11 year old boy and girl) they learn the ‘alien secrets to success’ and how to use them.

The alien secrets learned are:

  1. Never give up! Never Surrender! (growth mindset)

  2. Just get started! (for the procrastinators)

  3. Practice makes progress. (Because kids need to learn no one is perfect, you have to work hard to get good)

  4. It’s nice to be nice so be nice. (Kindness is free and only ever does good things)

  5. Surround yourself with greatness. (You are a product of your environment, this reminds kids to surround themselves with positive people)

  6. If you don’t know what to do, being you will have to do. (You are enough. Be you!)

  7. Everything will be OK in the end. If it’s not OK, it’s not the end. (Growth mindset and help for kids going through hard times)

  8. Stop, breathe, smile, focus. (Mindfulness is super important and plays a huge part in books 2 and 3)

  9. Celebrate our differences. (Everyone is different. Celebrate it!)

  10. If nothing changes, nothing changes. (You have to actually do something to change, this shows kids that you can’t expect to improve by continuing the same behaviour)

  11. Your mind is more powerful than you know. (Growth mindset is a MASSIVE theme in the entire series and the entire purpose for writing my books)

Reading Improves

Learning!

Kids who read, do better across the curriculum. Fact. The more our kids read, the more connections they can make to improve their imagination and brain agility. They are able to quickly move from thought to thought and help with divergent thinking.

“The Super Weirdos ticks many boxes as far as a class read is concerned. It has great themes with an unrelenting focus on growth mindset.
